We’re still accepting vendor applications for Pottery Market 2021! For your convenience, all of the application information is available for you on the Pottery Market page on the CCCG website here:
https://collarcityclayguild.com

There are booths still available on both the first and second floors. The sooner you submit your application, the better able you are to get the space you want and the better able we are to prepare.

And don’t forget! If you want to participate in the Guild Booth, email Theresa Zubretsky, tzubrock@gmail.com.

HUGE thanks to Mary Pat Hopper and Kathy Benson who spearhead this effort. Questions about the application process? Contact Kathy, kpbenson1212@gmail.com. All other questions can be directed to Mary Pat, mphopper@nycap.rr.com

Empty Bowls: Only one more sale day left!

The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market was a happening place the past two Saturdays. The weather was glorious and the shoppers came from near and far. So far, we’ve raised more than $14,000 to support Troy food pantries.

But it’s not over yet! We’ll be at the market again this Saturday, October 16 from 9am-2pm and we’ve still got lots of bowls.

Please tell your friends, neighbors, and family members to stop on by, shop the market, purchase a lovely handcrafted bowl at a bargain price, and support a good cause!

Tune in to Spectrum News on Wednesday! Tamani Wooley will be featuring Empty Bowls in three separate 3-minute segments throughout the day.

SPECIAL EVENT w/ Barbara Reeley!

Saturday, November 6, 11am-2pm
Waterbrook Potters Studio

You read that right. Barbara Reeley is paying us New Yorkers a visit! When asked to do a virtual workshop for CCCG and Waterbrook Potters Studio, Barbara did us one better and booked a flight from sunny Florida to Albany.

Barbara’s workshops are not-to-be-missed events. . .always. And this one promises to be no exception. Titled “Clay Mysteries”, Barbara will share clay issues, shortcuts and challenges that she has assembled as part of her 45-year journey as a potter. Seats are limited to 20, so reserve your in-person seat soon by contacting Maureen Hanley at mhanleyehmann@gmail.com

Workshop starts promptly at 11 am. If you don’t end up being one of the lucky 20, don’t fret. What’s a visit with Barbara without a party? Open House Celebration from 12 noon – 2pm. Bring a dish to share, a good story and a readiness to laugh.

Waterbrook COVID protocols require masks to be worn in the studio at all times. For this special event, a maximum of 20 people may be in the studio at any given time. Any overflow will be accommodated in the parking lot area.

A friendly reminder that dues are due!

If you haven’t yet paid your 2021 dues, please send $25 check payable to Collar City Clay Guild to PO Box 811, Troy, NY 12180-0811

Thank you!

Volunteers?
Got a technique or skill you’d be willing to record a demo on? Let me know! We’d LOVE to help you record so we can share it at an upcoming guild meeting.

Want to get more involved with the Guild?

We could use your help! We rely on volunteers to help with lots of Guild business. We are fortunate to have Barbara Costanzo managing our website. The success of Empty Bowls and Pottery Market rely on dozens of volunteers. We also have an Executive Committee opening right now for Secretary and could use some help keeping up with our Facebook page. Let us know if you’re interested!

Got an idea for a future CCCG activity? A question? Suggestion? Let us know!
